After a recent road trip the Caliber got 29 mpg at 80 mph on the freeway with several mountain passes. Very pleased with the fuel economy. Overall I don't know of any other cars in this price range that can compete with the overall power, mileage, comfort, and driving enjoyment currently on the market. If it had 15 more HP and was AWD it would be the perfect little hot rod.
