I have had a '87 Scirocco for 3 years now. 5 speed 16v. Came to me with lotsa mods, fixed a few things myself to make it street legal/reliable/pass inspection. Was a show/race car before I owned it. Don't know alot about VW's in general, was just alotta fun to have/drive and now I possibly wanna sell it and put all my time into my new car.

(All other pics after description)

CAME TO ME WITH--

-Rebuilt Engine (approx. 40k miles now, about 200k on car itself)

-Euro front bumper, Euro headlights

-Tokico race suspension, lowered 3", 17" Enkei w/ Nankang treads(no fender rubbing)

-Drilled front BIG rotors, discs all around, steel braided brake lines

-1" wider fender flares and sideskirts

-K&N filter (stock intake)

-Underdrive pulley instead of A/C unit

-Autotech camshaft, aftermaket camgear(not sure brand)

-Short throw shifter

-White gauges w/ green backlight & red needles

-Center console gauge cluster (voltage, temp, bar)

-POWER side mirrors

-Front strut tower brace, rear strut bar(both neuspeed), rear sway bar(under car)

-FULL Energy brand bushing kit for all suspension/strut/sway parts.

-Also no rear seats, hole in custom plywood/carpeted rear floor for sub and amp mount on rear wall under hatch lift.

WHAT I DID/HAD DONE--

-New wiring harness

-Spark plugs/wires

-Distributor cap/rotor

-Fuel filter & external fuel pump

-Alternator

-Borla catback/high flow cat.(sounds crazy)

CONS--

-Very little rust on body, no rot, barely anything underside of car

-Driver side headlight isn't fully secured/sits too low

-Manual crank sunroof (tracks & gasket need replaced-small leak=moist headliner, no drips tho)

-E-Brake needs adjusted/or new cable

-Interior stripped, no insulation/sound deadening in rear. No speakers, headunit, sub, or amp, but all wires still where they need to be (sold the sound system + speakers awhile back)

-No rear seats. 1 racing seat, not fully bolted down, non-adjustable

-Transmission from an 8v, pulls 75 in 3rd, and VERY tall 5th gear

-One(1) rad hose leaks

-Needs new battery

-Hates starting in the cold

-Cracked Windshield

-Inspection expired Sept. '08

I bought it for 3k. Most mods were done approx. year 2000. The car resides 15 mins from City of Pittsburgh. Thanks in advance --Mike Ask me anything I'll tell you or find out if I don't know.
