Well, here's the story behind the "Golden Chariot", named by a friend of mine. I'm 23 years old and this was my first car, a true "granny wagon". I got this car from my grandmother my senior year in high school. I recieved it with only 37,000 miles in 2004.The car was originally army t-shirt brown and had spoked hub cap wheels. I've put my share of miles on it in the past 3-4 years but I barely rolled 100,000 a few months back. As I aquired some funds, I've been tinkering with the car. It started with the rims and balloned from there. I've definately felt the heat from people thinking that I'm out of my mind for hot rodding a Celebrity, not to mention, no after market parts at all. Fortunately, the ceramic brakes from the wagon transfer just fine. All other modifications are all my thoughts. I do turn plenty of heads as I sit there or rumble by you. I feel that it shows you a job well done and a dare to be different car. I just recently took this car to a Corvette Club Car Show, Fall 2008, and placed 2nd in class. Not bad as I was up against 1960 to present Novas, Impalas, Monte Carlos, and other Chevys. A side hobby I add to working on my car is to park next to other Celebritys to see the owners respond. I look at it as "man law". The project is not done but now I have other toys to play with.
