Hello all, this is my very first Supra. It was a 1987 Naturally Aspirated with trashed automatic transmission. I bought it when i was 14 for only $100 bucks from a good friend. I had plans of restoring it and throwing a reliable Non-turbo engine in the bay with a 5 Speed. I spent about 3 months, cutting out the carpet, cleaning the seats, grinding out the rust and making it look pretty. The car was sitting for 4 years in some guys yard before my friend bought it, and then sold it to me. So rats were living in there and left some gross prizes. I cleaned it up really good. Then i realized that even with the car not running It was still costing me a fortune. My parents didn't want to see it in my backyard either anymore so i had no choice but to sell it. Not alot of people had Supras in the area at the time so obviously nobody wanted a shell. So i parted it out, and sold the chassis to a junkyard in Maine. They paid $100 bucks for it! So i really made more money in the long run after selling all the interior.

This is my blue 1987.

This brings me to my current 1989 Supra. My brother was going to junk it because he already had a 1986.5 Supra Naturaly Aspirated 5 speed. He was going to take the turbo engine out and the transmission to put in his 86. Then i asked him if he would sell it to me. Long story short, we agreed on me getting the 1989 Silver targa top. With the N/A and 5 Speed from his 86.5 for only $500 bucks. Good deal not going to lie.

But before he did the Swap to his 86, I was rolling around with the Turbo Auto Targa. After a few months we finally did the swap and i was left with the N/A 5speed. Powerwise it didnt feel much different. With the turbo auto it was only boosting 8psi. The automatic tranny didnt do it any justice either thing was complete junk. after our swap it felt that the N/A Had more balls then the auto did haha. Wierd but true. Anyways this is where i am at now, 17 years old and trying to do a restoration of this car while trying to keep it my DD. Man is this thing a money pit, but love it at the same time.

The only problem i have with this car is the Rear quarter panels are rusting and its not turbo :(

But those things can be changed :)

Only aftermarket parts are as follows

-Titan Motorsports Metal Headgasket

-ARP Head Studs

-Pep boys Air filter :)

-Megan Racing Exhaust.

-OBX Race Headers (Ebay buy)

-Eibach Lowering Springs

-300Watt Sound System

-Sogi Short Shifter Mod

So far I am trying to change the Dashboard lights to L.E.D Bulbs and will change the Climate Control to White L.E.D's Hopefully will finish that this spring and will post pictures of Before and After.

Thanks for looking!
