My 1988 camaro! I found this car when I was 16 and was looking to get my first car. I stopped to look around at a used car lot just to see what they had to offer at the time. I happened to notice a car covered by a blue tarp sitting in the corner so I was intrigued and asked the owner what was under the tarp

To my suprise there sat an empty shell of a camaro. (No engine, No transmission). So I asked her about the car and how it had ended up that way. Apparently some had bought the car and put a down payment on it. He had only had the car for a few days when it was stolen and stripped completely of engine, transmission, radiator, rims, etc. The guy who had bought the car obviously didn't want to continue making payments on a car he could no longer use, so when the car was found on the side of the road it went back to the car lot. So I eventually ended up buying the body from her for $500.

After buying the body came the fun part. Getting an engine and transmission in it. So I found a 305 at a decent price and a friends happened to have  700R4 Trans which he gave me. So after a few weeks of work we successfully got the engine in which ran wonderfully for quite some time until my throttle cable stuck one morning and it spun a bearing.

After spinning the rod bearing I pulled the old 305 out and installed another 305 which I just got running about 6 months ago. I am now away at college and haven't had any time to work on it for the past 5 months. I can't wait to get back home and get some more work done on it. I have a Edel Brock Intake which I need to install at which point I intend on installing new a new cam and lifters (just for a little extra fun until I get a 350 or 400 SB to build for it)

More Picture to come when I get home.
