Replaced my windshield washer pump at ODO reading of 169,000. Noticed one day the washer does not work. water is not coming out of the washers. Bought the replacement on Ebay for just $20. It is not a genuine Denso product but after I installed it, it worked fine. Photo of the replacement pump below:
Removal is easy:
1. Remove the splash guards at the front bottom right hand side of the car that is close to the tire. Did not bother removing the tire. You can jack up the car while if you like.
2. Remove one bolt that holds the front bumper. It should be visible on the wheel well.
3. Slightly just partially remove the bumber out of the frame. You will see the pump secured to the reservoir. Using a straight screw driver, remove the pump by poking the screwdriver at the bottom part of the pump. There is a small square hole that you will see at the bottom part of the reservoir. Insert the screwdriver there and once secured, slightly push the pump away from the reservoir by slowly prying it with the screwdriver.
4. Be careful of the reservoir water once the pumps is removed. All the water will drain from the hole so it is handy to have a bucket in place while removing the pump.
5. Remove the power wire and the output hose from the pump.
6. Replacing with the new one is just a matter of reversing this procedure.
