Hi my name is Ned and I have been playing around w/ a 91 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX AWD for about a year and a half now. I bought the car w/ a lot of work already done to it, I wish I could have been there for every turn but in reality I saved a lot of money by letting someone else pay the bills.

-REPAINTED PIECE OF TRIM UNDER WINDOW SO IT'S NOT BLACK AND SPOTTY CHROME ANYMORE. I ALSO REPAINTED THE WINDSHIELD WIPER ARMS SO THERE NO LONGER FADED. GOT MY HANDS ON A NGK WBO2 AND A DUMP TUBE SO THEY WILL BE INSTALLED SOON.

FIC 650 INJECTORS IN TODAY!! THERE INSTALLED BUT NOW I HAVE TO GET THEM SET UP IN DSMLINK. INSTALLING WB02 AND DUMP TUBE ON TUESDAY ON MY DAY OFF AS LONG AS EVERYTHING GOES WELL I SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET A GOOD TUNE DOWN IN THE NEXT COUPLE WEEKS.

STILL DON'T HAVE THE DUMP TUBE OR THE WBO2 IN YET BUT WORKING ON RESOLVING MY IDLE SURGE ISSUE. REBUILDING THROTTLE BODY AND INSTLLING FIAV BLOCK OFF PLATE HOPING THIS HELPS. 650 INJECTORS ARE WORKING OUT PRETTY GOOD, NOT A CHANCE W/ MY SETUP WILL I EVER MAX THOSE OUT. THERE GOOD FOR RIGHT NOW. A WEEK AGO MY BUDDY UP STAIRS BUMPED INTO MY CAR SO I HAVE SOME MINOR COSMETIC DAMAGE TO THE DRIVERS DOOR AND FENDER BUT WHEN I GET IT PAINTED IN THE SPRING I WILL WORRY ABOUT THAT.

THE OTHER DAY I WAS DRIVING HOME AND I SAW A PUFF OF SMOKE BEHIND ME, DID SOME SEARCHING AND FOUND SOME OIL ON THE COLD SIDE OF THE TURBO. SO NEEDLESS TO SAY THE TURBO MIGHT NEED TO BE REBUILT. LOOKING TO DO THIS MYSELF JUST NEED TO BUY THE PARTS, IT'S GOING TO RUN ME ABOUT $100 TO DO IT.

HOW ABOUT IT TURNS OUT THAT I COULD JUST BE A DUMMY! I WAS LOOKING AT MY INTAKE AND FOUND A STREAM OF OIL THAT HAD RUN THROUGH IT. WELL IT TURNS OUT I HAD CONNECTED THE VALVE COVER VENT LINE RIGHT UP TO THE INTAKE AT THE MAF SENSOR. IT WAS ACTUALLY SUCKING OIL IN FROM THE VALVE COVER. SO THAT WOULD EXPLAIN THE SMALL PUDDLE OF OIL IN THE TURBO INLET. SO IT'S NOT FOR SURE YET BUT I THINK MY TURBO IS FINE. NOW I HAVE A BRAKE LINE TO FIX CAUSE IT DECIDED TO BREAK ON MY WAY TO WORK TODAY!!

WELL TURBO'S NOT BLOWN! BRAKE LINE IS FIXED SO SHE'S BACK UP AND RUNNING. THERE'S A COUPLE KINKS I NEED TO WORK OUT BUT ALL IN ALL SHE'S DOING GOOD.

CAR IS OFFICIALLY PARKED FOR THE WINTER, NEED TO DO SOME WORK ON HER TO GET IT BACK UP TO PAR BUT I HAVE ALL WINTER TO DO IT. I'M GOING TO PULL THAT FIAV PLATE BACK OFF BECAUSE WHEN IT'S COLD SHE DOESN'T WANT TO RUN RIGHT UNTIL IT GETS UP TO TEMP SO THIS IS WORSE THEN IT WAS BEFORE, O WELL LIVE AND LEARN. GOT SOME PLANS FOR THIS WINTER THAT WILL HELP HER RUN AND LOOK BETTER, SO NO NEW PICS UNTIL THE UPGRADES BEGIN!!

GOT THE WALBRO 255 IN, STARTED PULLING THE SENDING UNIT TODAY. RAN INTO SOME PROBLEMS BUT WILL HAVE THEM RESOLVED IN THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS. ALSO RAN THE WIRE FROM THE BATTERY TO THE FUEL PUMP FOR THE REWIRE. (PICS ON PAGE 4). THE OTHER NIGHT I WAS FEELING AMBITIOUS SO I PULLED THE FRONT BUMPER OFF AND PULLED THE SMIC OUT SO IT WOULDN'T BE IN THE WAY WHEN I DO THE FMIC.

SO EVERYTHING IS BACK TOGETHER IN THE TRUNK AREA BECAUSE THE REWIRE IS COMPLETE AND THE 255 IS COMPLETELY INSTALLED! SO I'M LOOKING TO GET MY HANDS ON A 2G TB ELBOW SO I CAN GET THE THROTTLE BODY BACK ON WITH THE FIAV REMOVED. I ALSO NEED TO GET A GOOD ISC BECAUSE MINE IS NO GOOD. COUPLE MORE PICS ON PAGE 4 OF PROJECT: FUEL PUMP COMPLETITION. I'VE STARTED DRAINING THE OIL SO I CAN START SEARCHING FOR THE OIL LEAK IN THE OIL COOLER LINES. EVER SINCE I GOT THE CAR THERE'S ALWAYS BEEN A SLIGHT DRIP COMING FROM IT SO IT JUST NEEDS TO BE FIXED. WELL I GUESS THATS IT FOR NOW.

GOT THE 2G TB ELBOW, ISC, AND OTHER MISC PARTS IN THE MAIL TODAY. GOT THE THROTTLE BODY BACK ON WITH THE ISC INSTALLED AND ALSO THE 2G TB ELBOW IS ON NOW (PAGE 4 FOR PIC). ALSO PUT THE 180 DEGREE THERMOSTAT BACK IN BECAUSE I NOTICED ON LINK THAT THE ECU DOESN'T GO INTO CLOSED LOOP AS EASILY SO THAT KIND OF DEFEATS THE PURPOSE.
I PLAN ON GETTING FMIC W/ SHORT ROUTE PIPING, A PAINT JOB (HAVEN'T DECIDED ON A COLOR YET) AND LOTS MORE SOMETIME IN THE FUTURE
