This is the result of sitting outside in the weather and being neglected for almost 12 years.

My Dad and I restored this car when I was in high school but after I graduated I moved to Nevada then moved around for a while until I finally settled in West Point, MS. Then around July of last year I decided to attempt to make this car what I wanted it to be when I was younger.

We originally painted this car using lacquer, however we didn't realize that without a proper coat of etching primer we were wasting our time. That's part of the reason that the paint began flaking off and the car began to develop some surface rust. The first step was going to be stripping everything back down to bare metal.
