Page 1: Begining pictures and some what new pics. <-Here

This is my 1979 Camaro Z28. I traded my old 1986 IROC-Z camaro on Feb. 11th 2009. It has a 350 V8 with a 4 barrel Carb on it.  Turbo 350 Tranny and 3.73 Rear Gears out back. Has black interior with black vinyl bucket seats. There are no rust holes in the car at all. It has some dents the 2 major ones are in the driver fender under the vent and the driver quater panel. Which they arn't really that bad. I found the build sheet under the passenger side rear seat! So I have the origional documents for the car. This is a restoration. Im going back stock.  Let me know what you think of my new ride and rate me please. I will get more pictures when I get a camera but right now i had a friend take some pictures. -Matt

This is the goal. This is a camaro that i have seen that has my color combo. The bright metallic blue with blue decals and mag wheels. So I am going to restore this one to factory and preserve it.

Here are some new pics of the car. I have bought alot of engine dress up and tune up stuff. So check it out and let me know what you think.

Here is the interior. I have cleaned the rear sets and a little of the rear sail panel plastic. I am still working on cleaning the rest. So you basically see the way it looks the day i got it.

The driver seat is in ok shape but the passenger and rear seats are in AWESOME shape. I need carpet, a console lid and seat covers.

Check out how much the rear seats cleaned up. Thats some nice 30 year old seats!

This is the engine as its being worked on. I am repainting the top and front of the motor GM Blue. I know its not a complete paint job but i am just trying to clean it up. I have ALOT of chrome thats gonna go on it once its done. I promise that i will eventually get everything painted and cleaned up like new.

Well I have made some more progress on cleaning the engine. Its getting closer but once i get it back together i am going to wash the engine bay and repaint it black. Let me know what you think about the progress.  Enjoy the pics -Matt

These 2 pics show the driver side of the car and the fender and quater panel dents. They arn't that bad. I love the look of the wheels on the car with the lines.

Here is the engine with some of the engine chrome on. I think it looks great so far. Like i said, i am still working on cleaning it up BUT i will have it looking even better!

Here is a more distant front shot to show how its starting to look. Its a HUGE upgrade from how it was when i got the car.

Well today is my birthday and i got some more stuff for the car. I dont have pics of anyhting yet but ill get some later. I got another 79 Z28 hood, a grille, some emblems, headlight and turn signal buckets.  Just little stuff. Also last night i fixed the turn signal issue that i had. The socket was bad. Anyways i will update with some pics soon. -Matt

Well we got the tune up and the majority of the motor cleaning done. Here are some more pics.

I did find some cancer on her side. Buts its nothing to bad. Its just the metal strip that goes along the rear bumper. Its just a bolt on piece and i know where i can get some so its all good. I will have that fixed pretty fast.

I also found the factory build sheet for the car. How Awesome.

Well other than this i got my new windshield and that ended up costing around $188. So i was very happy. More updates to come. -Matt

Well today I installed some drip rails and iI removed the chrome door moldings. It looks alot better. I will try to get pictures tommorrow because I am gonna try to work more one the car then. -Matt
