This is my 91 Mercury Capri       

Me and my dad.. well mostly my dad have spent a year working on this car. It all started in January 2008 when we pulled it out from behind the shop after it had been setting up for 2 years.

    My dad bought the car for $1000 to drive to work and back. After about 4 years a lady backs up at a stop light and runs right into it =(.

   It ends up totaling it out and we got like $2100 plus kept the car. My dad drives it the till CV joint breaks and we just parked it behind the shop. Then I thought it would be cool to drive a convertible so we began to work on it. We started with a new fuel pump then on to the body work.

We bought a new nose piece for it. It sucked taking the old one off and putting the new one on.

   We bought a bubble to go over the back seat. And a used driver door because the other one had been sprung.

And after sanding we primed it and then more sanding. Oh how fun.

 After about 10 months of that we finally get to paint it. =D

  We made our own paint booth in our shop with a bunch of plastic and a couple of fans. You can't tell but it is a custom paint job. We went back with the factory Cardinal Red and in the clear we added Metallic and Ice Pearl flacks

We bought a new rag top for it. It was not fun putting it on.
