While this console trim is well made and looks awesome, it didn't fit all that great. I had to dremel down the edges towards the center console armrest in order to get it to fit. It doesn't come with any sort of adhesive to stick it to the console, so it kind of just lays there. I do like that this isn't one of the cupholder pieces that has the full rings in it, so I can fit larger cups and cups with handles inside of it. I've noticed that when I put any kind of styrofoam cup into the cupholders, when I go to get the cup out, the piece often comes up with the cup.
Minus 3 points for lack of adhesives for installation, having to modify piece myself, and still not having a proper fit. Rating: 7/10
Scott Drake Satin Map Light Trim and Button Covers: Purchased from MossMuscle.com: Installed at home.
http://www.mossmuscle.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=56443
These parts are made out of very light and easy to bend aluminum. The button covers fit nicely with no modifications or adhesive, but the map light trim is a different story. It attaches to the plastic with clear double-sided tape that barely wanted to stick. The parts around my passive drive sensors do not fit flush with the plastic. There just isn't enough adhesive added for it to be able to hold itself there. The edge piece is so small, I have been unable to cut a piece of my own adhesive small enough to be able to remedy the situation.
Minus 5 points for flimsy aluminum, poor adhesives used, and inability to conform to map light. Rating: 5/10
Black Plush "GT" Floormats: Purchased from AmericanMuscle.com: Installed at home. (Did you really think I'd take my car to a dealer for these?)
http://www.americanmuscle.com/floormats-gt-blkslvblk-0509.html
These floormats fit my car like they came from the factory. They are perfect. They have a good 1/2"-3/4" plush on them and are very comfortable to put your bare feet on. They look awesome in the car and the silver "GT" logo pulls all the silver in the car together in just the right way. The back mats are just as awesome as the front mats, although they have no decoration. They are easy to clean and just give the interior a nice, clean, look. A great buy and a must-have for every Mustang.

UPR Satin Pistol E-Brake Handle Cover: Given to me by a friend: Installed at home.
http://www.uprproducts.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=1080
This was given to me by a friend who didn't want it anymore, so I didn't have the hardware. This cover fits so well that you don't even need the hardware. You just slip it right over the handle and it pretty much stays in place. This thing is made well and I can tell it is a durable and high quality piece. I definitely would have paid for this, but I am lucky that I got it for free.

Scott Drake Seat Belt Mount Covers: Purchased from MossMuscle.com: Installed at home.
http://www.mossmuscle.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=59400
Upon receiving this product and there were no installation instructions. It is kind of a no brainer, but it would have been nice if they would have included instructions that at least told you what size socket that you'd need to remove the massive bolt that attaches the seat belt mount to the car. After fiddling around a bit in the toolbox, I finally found the right one, but I can't remember the size. As usual the tape they provide with the mounts wasn't holding worth a shit. I had to use my own 1/2" 3M adhesive to hold the things onto the mount. Like all Scott Drake products, these aren't made very well. They are made out of the same flimsy aluminum they use for the map light covers. I was afraid that I'd bend it and cause it to cave in if I pushed to hard to get it to stick during installation. It also had very rough edges and I had to be careful the entire time. Don't get me wrong... they look great once installed, but the quality of the piece and the adhesive that is used could be a lot better.
Minus 4 points for flimsy aluminum, rough edges, sorry adhesive, lack of installation instructions. Rating: 6/10
Scott Drake Door Lock Grommet Covers: Purchased from MossMuscle.com: Installed at home.
http://www.mossmuscle.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=59006
Like all Scott Drake products, these were sub-par. The only positive thing I can say about them is that they look good when they're installed. The edges were sharp. I could have slit someone's throat with one of these things. With all of the Scott Drake stuff I have in my car, I will always have weapons at my disposal. These things have a painted bottom and the paint around the edge is jagged. I had to go over it again just so it wouldn't look so shitty. They give you some kind of off brand 3M adhesive that wouldn't even stick. I had to take their stuff off and use some of my own 3M adhesive. Install is simple. Just peel off the plastic on the adhesive, line up, and press to install. Like I said, looks good when finished, but that's about it.
Minus 4 points for rough edges, jagged paint, and sorry adhesive. Rating: 6/10
GranDesignMats GT Trunklid Mat: Purchased from AmericanMuscle.com: Installed at home.
http://www.americanmuscle.com/trunklidmat-0509-gt2mirror.html
This thing was the single biggest waste of money on my car. You pay $160 for a piece of styrofoam laid over a flimsy piece of some kind of cardboard. It's so thin I don't even know if it's wood, but it could be. There is some kind of "OEM Grade" carpet covering the styrofoam and they use spray adhesive to attach it to the bottom and there was adhesive all over the back of it. The mirrored GT symbol was cut asymmetrically. There is a depression in the styrofoam that the GT symbol is supposed to fit into. The symbol they cut didn't even fill out the entire depression. The bottom side of the "T" was not even with the bottom side of the "G". I ended up pulling off the logo and making my own logo out of plastic and red felt and it looks 100 times better than the piece of shit that was sent to me. Another massive problem with this product is that if you don't install it in just the perfect area, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CLOSE YOUR TRUNK. It is a tad over a millimeter larger than the area on the trunk that is lined with weatherstripping. They give you installation instructions, but even if you follow them, you will still run into the problem of not being able to close your trunk. I just use 3M tape and only put up this piece for show. Since I modified it to my liking, it is something I can be proud to show now. After shows, I just pull it off the trunk. Needless to say, I would absolutely, unequivically not recommend this product to anyone else. If you want to dress up your trunk, get one of those trunk mats that go on the bottom. If you get this product, you are wasting your money. Don't say I didn't warn you.
This piece of shit isn't even worth rating.
Exterior Modifications:
SHR Black Fuel Door: Purchased from AmericanMuscle.com: Installed at home.
http://www.americanmuscle.com/05-07-fueldoor-black-plain.html
This fuel door is VERY well made. It's very heavy, good quality, and the magnets that hold the door to its base are very strong. It took a little work to install this, as the way they show you to install the plastic spacers wasn't the way it fit properly on my car. I had to do a little rearranging of the spacers to get it to fit properly. Once installed, it looked 100 times better than stock. The only downside to this product is the price I paid for it. It is a great product, but I feel the price is a little too steep.
Minus 1 point for an overly stiff price. Rating 9/10
CDC Rear Decklid Panel: Purchased from AmericanMuscle.com: Installed at home.
Unfortunately, American Muscle has discontinued this product.
This panel is well made and comes with 3M adhesive. To install this panel, you must remove the "gas cap" on the rear decklid. This was the hardest part of the procedure. I had one hell of a time getting that thing off. Once I did, I cleaned the area well, stripped off the wax, and applied the panel. It fills out the area between the tail lights and gives a nice, clean look to the rear of the car. I've had it over a year and the edges of the panel are no longer adhered to the trunklid, but it is still holding on tight.
Minus 1 point for the panel being too stiff to completely conform to the trunklid. Rating 9/10
Stack Racing 8 inch shorty antenna: Purchased from AmericanMuscle.com: Installed at home.
http://www.americanmuscle.com/8fiblan.html
Not much to say about this thing. It was extremely easy to install and cleaned up the front of the car. It bends easily, so I have to be careful while detailing the car. It is already rusting a little at the base of the antenna, but that's nothing that a trusty old black Sharpie marker can't fix!
Minus 1 point for rust already forming. Rating 9/10
Duplicolor Black Caliper Paint: Purchased from AmericanMuscle.com: Installed at home.
http://www.americanmuscle.com/duplicolor-caliper-paint-black.html
If I have to do this all over again (which I will), I am going to cover the car and spray paint my calipers. This paint was a sonuvabitch to use. It dried wayyyyy too fast and the paintbrush they include in the kit is cheap and the bristles fell out. I ended up having to use styrofoam "brushes" to finish the job. It was tough to get a smooth look on the calipers, because they are rough, but I managed to get a pretty good looking surface after I painted them with about 3 coats of paint. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. Not because it isn't good, it's just that it's difficult to use due to the paint drying quickly.
Minus 3 points for paint drying too quick and poor quality brush. Rating 7/10
Stack Racing Black Billett Grille Upper and Lower with Pony and Foglight Cut-Outs: Purchased from AmericanMuscle.com: Installed at home.
http://www.americanmuscle.com/0509-black-gt-grille.html
These grilles were really good quality, which I wasn't expecting. We didn't have to lift the car to install them, although you might want to go that route if you are a larger person and can't fit underneath the front while the car is on the ground. The bottom grille comes with J and C hook hardware and hooks onto the pillars on the stock bottom grille. No drilling on the bottom is required. The top installs via 8 screws. To install the pieces on the outside of the foglights, you have to drill 4 small pilot holes into the grille. The hardest part of that that was trying to get behind the grille while it was still on the car to get the screws in. The paint on the grille does chip easy, though. I touched mine up with some black paint. If I had to do it all over again, I'd take both grilles off the car. All in all, install took about an hour and a half. It was so worth it afterwards. Gives the car that clean, yet aggressive look that a Mustang like mine deserves.
Minus 2 points for ease of paint chipping. Rating 8/10
Stack Racing Black Tail Light Trim: Purchased from AmericanMuscle.com: Installed at home.
http://www.americanmuscle.com/black-taillight-trim-0509.html
This tail light trim is made out of some kind of plastic and it attaches with 3M tape. It comes with alcohol pads to clean the area before installation. All you do is take off the plastic on the adhesive and press into place. They really fill out the tail lights and help to define them a little more. These are a must have if you have tail lights that are tinted with the vinyl tint, as it will cover up any remaining red between the lights. Only downside to these are the price. Way too steep for what you get.
Minus 1 points for steep price. Rating 9/10
Underhood Dress-Up Items:
NXT Generation Battery and Master Brake Cylinder Covers: Purchased from AmericanMuscle.com: Installed at home.
http://www.americanmuscle.com/brakebattery-kit-0509.html
These covers definitely made a difference in my engine bay. Makes my engine bay look a hell of a lot cleaner. These are nice covers and they attach to the car by removing two of the plastic screw/tabs that hold the cowl down to the firewall. You just take them out, put the covers on, line them up with the frame, click the tab into the frame, and pop the tabs back into the firewall/cowl. They don't interfere with the hood at all. Only problem I had was that we had to grind the battery cover down about 1/8" because it was too long and wouldn't click into the side of the frame like it was supposed to do.
Minus 2 points for an ill fit on the brake cover. Rating: 8/10
NXT Generation Finned Fuse Box Cover: Purchased from AmericanMuscle.com: Installed at home.
http://www.americanmuscle.com/fusebox-cover-0509.html
This cover is well made, looks great and was easy to install. Just take the OEM fuse box cover off, clean it with the supplied alcohol pad, and attach the fuse box cover to the OEM one using the 4 pieces of supplied tape. The tape didn't want to hold well at first, but after some pressure and some time, it was fine.
Minus 1 point for the sorry adhesive. Rating: 9/10
NXT Generation Finned Fuel Rail Covers: Purchased from AmericanMuscle.com: Installed at home.
http://www.americanmuscle.com/fuelrail-covers-0509.html
These fuel rail covers are a perfect match to the fuse box cover. They look fucking awesome once installed and covered up one of the parts of the engine that I hated the most. God, these things were hard to put on. Well, not really the driver's side, but the passenger side. Driver's side took maybe 5 minutes. The passenger side took about 20. It took a lot of patience to get that thing flush and to actually fit. We had a hard time fitting the hoses into the brackets and also had a hard time fitting the actual cover to the bracket because the hoses were pushing out the bracket and we couldn't get any bite on the screws. Overall, this addition was worth it, but I think they could have been designed a little better. Also, if you plan on getting these, have people with small hands help because the fit is so damn tight.
Minus 3 points for difficulty of passenger side installation. Rating 7/10.
NXT Generation Shock Tower Covers: Purchased from MossMuscle.com: Installed at home.
http://www.mossmuscle.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=65552
Again, what a damn difference these things made. They covered the ugly top of the shock towers. No more bolts protruding through the metal. They also help out a lot during engine cleaning. Now, I can rest my arm there without being in pain. These things kind of didn't want to go on at first. They just snap into place over the shock tower. We tried doing it by the instructions at first and didn't have any luck. Then, we decided to take a dremel to certain parts and used some grease to aid in the installation and that helped a lot. Once we got them on, I was very happy.
Minus 2 points for the ill fit. Rating: 8/10
Scott Drake Billet Fluid Caps: Purchased from MossMuscle.com: Installed at home.
http://www.mossmuscle.com/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=58031
Not much to say about these. Installation is self-explanatory. These are well made caps and look awesome. Really make the engine compartment pop. Took maybe 5 minutes to install all of the caps. These aren't covers, they are actual cap replacements. Definitely glad I got these.

Steeda High Velocity Cold Air Intake: Purchased from AmericanMuscle.com: Never Installed on the Car.
http://www.americanmuscle.com/steeda-2005-gt-cai-full.html
When I got this intake, I took it home and assembled it on the table so I'd have a better idea of what to do once it was on the car. Come to find out, I was missing at least 3 pivotal parts that I needed to install the intake onto the car. I was missing a gasket, the plastic vacuum nozzle, and a metal tie. But since there was no bill of materials enclosed with the intake, I didn't know what else I could have been missing. To put it bluntly, this intake looked like a joke. It looked like a Mickey Mouse piece of crap that belonged on a septic tank, not on a car. It had all kinds of silicone pieces to connect things together and even those silicone pieces looked like they belonged on plumber's pipe. It had way too many pieces and was just absolutely ridiulous. The metal on the edge of the intake filter housing was really sharp. I cut myself when I pulled it out of the box. The only worthwhile and notable things about this intake were the filter and the metal piece that connects the filter to the intake tube, because that looked like it was machined pretty well. I was NOT impressed by this product at all and I'd NEVER put another one anywhere near my car. Luckily, American Muscle is a wonderful company and gave me a full refund of my money.
Minus 7 points for the parts I was missing, unclear instructions, poor workmanship and too many parts to assemble from the parts that I did have, making assembly needlessly difficult. Rating: 3/10
Stack Racing Sequential Tail Lights: Purchased from American Muscle: Installed at home.
http://www.americanmuscle.com/cdc-dynamite-sticks.html
I installed these lights a few days after I got them. They were VERY easy to install, almost too easy. They were so cool for the 1 DAY that they actually worked. I installed these on a Friday evening and they worked just fine. I came home that night, showed my dad and a few friends. I didn't drive the car all weekend. I went to work Monday and went to show a few co-workers, and only the driver's side was working. What the hell? I went home that evening, and put my stock lights back in, just to see if the lights weren't blown out or something. My stock lights worked fine. The sequentials were cool, the 3 times I actually saw them work. I called American Muscle and they asked me if I wanted a replacement set. Since I didn't want to go through this happening again, I opted for a refund, which they happily obliged to. I now have my stock lights back in and while they aren't as cool, at least they work!
Minus 8 points for failure to work more than 3 times, despite car not being driven at all during time of sporatic usage. Rating: 2/10
My Reviews of Vendors/Installers That I Have Dealt With.
American Muscle
http://www.americanmuscle.com/
I am a HUGE fan of Americanmuscle.com. If you have read all of the above, you'd know that I have purchased 98% of everything I have for my car though them. They have a diverse selection of Mustang parts and accessories. Their site is easy to navigate, clean and uncluttered. It is very easy to find what you need. When I order parts, the confirmation e-mail is always sent to me in a matter of a few hours (if that) and everything I've ever ordered has been shipped out same day. Unless the direct manufacturer requires shipping, American Muscle ships all merchandise for free. The only time I've ever paid for shipping was for my SLP products, because SLP has a mandatory $10 shipping charge. I've always received everything in a timely fashion, within 3 days of my order being placed. All items arrived unharmed and were packaged well. When I have had to return things, they are very helpful, understanding, and do not interrogate. I have received complete and total refunds on the only 2 defective parts I've bought out of 10+ orders I've placed with them. Their customer service is very knowledgeable and they treat you like they are interested in helping you. Definitely the best customer service I have ever experienced. American Muscle is always wonderful to deal with. I know I can trust them to be hassle-free, honest, and trustworthy. To me, that really makes a difference in this day and age.

Mossmuscle.com
http://www.mossmuscle.com/
I only purchased my cupholder trim, map light trim and dome button covers through them, so I can't really give as many details. While I am not pleased with the products I purchased, it is not their fault. They only sell it, they don't make it. They accidentally sent me two sets of dome light covers and I had to call them and tell them I didn't order two, I only ordered one, so I sent the other one back to them. They actually sent me a note on my purchase invoice that read "we appreciate your honesty", which was pretty cool and thoughtful. Their customer service was great and they were very helpful. I'd purchase from them again, but only if they had something that Americanmuscle.com didn't have.
Minus 2 points for their own mistake that I had to fix. Rating: 8/10
Huff Muffler in Plant City, Florida
Huff Muffler reran a new exhaust on my other Mustang a few years ago. It only costed me $90 and that was from the stock manifolds back. They did an awesome job. Timely work, great price, great service. When I got all the parts for the exhaust for my '05, they were the first people I thought of to do the job. I am very picky about who I leave my baby with, so I knew I could trust them. I dropped Spook off at 8.00am, he was done by 2.00pm and I picked him up when I got home. Costed a little over $550 for install, which is steep to some, but fine to me because I had peace of mind which was completely worth it. If you're in the Plant City area and need exhaust work, I recommend them.

Jarrett Gordon Ford Dealership in Plant City, Florida
Again, I had dealt with this dealership previously when they installed new brakes on my '93 'Stang. They did a hell of a job with that, so I called them up for a gear install quote. They gave me the cheapest price out of the 3 places I called, and that price was just over $520. Again, I know that's steep, but peace of mind is worth a lot to me. I dropped the car off at 8.00am, it was done by mid afternoon, I picked it up at 5.00pm and drove home. Beat the hell out of the gears on the way and they were awesome. Install was perfect. I still have no whine. I was so worried about whine at first and the guy that I talked to (can't remember his name), reassured me that they had done countless gear installs and they knew what they were doing. He also told me that if I noticed any noise that I thought was odd, to bring it back and they'd put another set of gears in at their cost. Luckily, I didn't have to take them up on that offer. Again, if you are in the Plant City area and you want gears installed and done right the first time, go to JG Ford. Price was steep, but totally worth it.
