Gettin back with you. I researched all over for the gloss black finish for my in-dash unit and came up with nothing. However, I found a website that offers a few products for the Escape. It seems there is not that many custom items for this model. I also live in Abilene, so finding a specialty shop ain't gonna happen. I'm looking for a place in Dallas to do some detailed work. Check out this web page. www.wooddashexperts.com I think you will like what they offer as will others who read this. It will solve your flat black issues. As far as dropping your ride I would not do it. Many people lower their trucks and decide later it was not a great idea. I would recommend getting bags. They cost a little more but they are worth it, as you get the best of both worlds and they are more sturdy/supportive than traditional springs. Hit me with a private message and I'll give you the info.

as far as i know there isnt a fix.....the guy obviosuly doesnt know the product. new pioneer units have a gyro sensor in them. its a glass ball with mercury in it, like a thermometer.when u go abouts 25 the mercury backs up in the ball and acts like a switch. ive googled it, apparently there is a bypass by moving a wire to the tele phone mute position, i tried it and it worked once, after that trip, it never worked again, so i dont know budd, i got my pioneer for nav, not for movies. c yaz
