Welcome to my page! This is my NEW CAR! I picked her up Friday Febuary 6th, 2009.
When I had my red MR2, I was pretty happy with it. I built it from the ground up. No details were left untouched. With the winter of 2009 coming to an end in a few months. It was time to start thinking about autocross! With that, I bought some new bushings and suspension goodies, and kept doing my thing. Then one night in January, just after the new year I was rear ended!
I got hit and the driver ran! I quickly followed him, got his license plate number and called the cops. When they arrived to where I was, it wasn't looking good. The officer could not see the damage to the car and I was livid because to me, he was blind.
The tail lights were pushed in and the trunk was ruined. The key cylinder was crooked, the cabin trunk release didn't work, the bumper and support were pushed and bent, and the shops had estimated around $2100 worth of damage later that week. With that in hand, I talked with the local police for about a week. I later found that the person who hit me was in a lot of trouble. He had some prior offenses that were not settled and his story was not very convincing as to what had happened that night. So with that, I eventually ended up with a personal check for the damages in my hand. With it being the new year, tax time was upon me. So I filled out my taxes and got a good bit of money back. Add those 2 things together plus a little bit of my savings, and it was time to look for a new car.
Obviously if you read into my red cars story... you would know that I am an MR2 fanatic. So obviously I wanted another MR2. With that the search was on. I found 4 cars in the NY/NJ/PA area that were good candidates. All of them had goods and bads, and different goodies that I was interested in. Then I saw my car. After talking to the owner for a couple days. I decided that I wanted the car. So I got the money together and went to pick her up.
Not as long of a story as my other car, but this one is a HUGE luxury upgrade from what I had. See the next pages to check out the car, and thanks for looking!
