This is my 63 Merc. The story starts out with me wanting a classic car, Just like every guy dose.. I owned a 94 Stang that i flipped, almost doubled what i bought it for! Plus the money I got when a yellow cab hit me on the way to work, I used to buy the Merc.. I was looking threw classic car trader, penny saver, craigs list and ebay but everything was really pricey.. And then I pulled up to my dads house and there it was.. The neighbor had a for sale sign on it. They parked it right in front of my dads house like look buy me!! I was sceptical on it cus of the 4 door thing but it grew on me. My girlfriend said that car is cool, I wonder how much they want for it.. And I said to myself, ya I wonder how much they want for it.. The neighbor came out and talked to me about it, they were the original owners and the car grew up in California. It fired right up, All the crome trimming, hub caps and dash knobs were there. The car was Garaged most of her life. His mom took him and the kids to school in that car in the late sixtys. His mom passed it off to him and thats when it sat in a garage for a long time until he passed it off to his daughter, who was driving it to school and work. She loved the car but hated spending the money for fuel for the 289 V8.. After test driving it I knew I wanted it. The car was super clean with origanal owners and the price was right! The next day I went and got it. I remember that I was so excited I couldnt even wait until my girlfriend got off of work. Me and my goodfriend and his 69 Camaro drove down and got it. I drove it to work and back for awhile. It was my daily driver and I loved every minute of it.. I had to replace some old hoses and fix a gas leak, but other than that the car ran strong. Its got a powerglide 2 speed and I still drove it on the freeway. I put a big electronic distributer and over sized sparkplug wires in it. I had a little carboration problems so I bought a new carb for it. Then I put a little more money into it and got the Foose. 18x8 in the front and 18x10 in the back. Had to shave a little of the rear wheel well to fit those fat bad boys.. Then i got 3 1/2 inch flow master turn down right befor the back wheels, really brought the car to life, its loud.. The door handles, side mirror and tail light bezels were wethered. So took them into get redipped in chrome. The day I finished putting the parts back on the car I took it to my local car show that night. It looked so clean..
