Hello all... I'm new to this site so this page is going to be a work in progress. This is my new 2008 highland green Mustang Bullitt. It's number 4803 out of 7000 made. The beauty had only 42 miles on her when I brought her home. I managed to get the original factory invoice, purchase order and of course the window sticker from the dealer.
She has several options including HID headlights, security and interior led lighting. I had the car's paint wet sanded before I took delivery as you can see from the flawless paint. The Bullitt comes from the plant pretty much tricked out with Ford's first production vehicle with cold air induction open air filter, 3.73 limited slip rear, short shifter, seats right out of the GT500 and a heavier crank shaft to raise the rpm limit to 6500 rpm's.
The total factory horsepower is 315 with 325 pounds of torque on regular unleaded and another 15 pounds of torque in the midrange with super unleaded. The vehicle's computer automatically adjusts depending on the fuel; another first for a factory Ford.
I guess what I like about this car the most is the lack of factory badging, fog lamps, spoilers and scoops. To the average layman it looks like a "plain jane" six cylinder which is nice when you want to park it at the grocery store or not to attract the attention of the local fuzz. Of course the fact it's numbered does help.
A close friend of mine has a 1993 Mustang GT that has been completely restored including a 425 horsepower 5.0 engine. I plan on entering my car in the local shows with his.
Let me know what you all think for your opinions are appreciated. Thanks for looking.
