Ok a little about me, I come from a long line of car customizers! My father and his family were tricking out cars way before Cragars were the Daytons! So naturally I followed my fathers foot steps and I am pretty lucky his mechanic skills transfered over to me (for the most part at least!). And after refining those skils with the help of an Elite Master fabricator by the name of Ramses from Winning Edge Customs, I was able to expand my knowledge and skillz to greater levels. I am nothing more than an ameteur, but a pretty damn good one if I do say so my self! I am lucky for the experiences I received from him and all the other people along the way! This knowledge helped land me onto the Elite judging staff years ago and I havent looked back since. We were fortunate to have worked closely with DUB magazine and their tours across the U.S. I am fortunate to be currently still judging for the DUB Shows this year in 2009. Whats up onlookers, here is my 02 Solara which is still on the rise. I will try to put up more pictures of my customizations and end product as they come available. For now you can comment on the my fabrication of the front grill. I now realize that it looks like a 99's grill but it was screaming to be different from other 02 & 03s, tell me what you think.
Stock grill
I cut out the top and lower crossbars and fiberglassed the whole thing for reinforcement and patching the gaping holes above and below the center emblem and the edges where the bars were originally located.
I painted the inner center white to match the paint and added mesh grill behind it.
A few pics of the freshly smoked 99 Taillights, the pictures do not do any justice! They are more of a cherry smoke than dark black, just like the BMWs! I highly recommend this to be professionally done for around $150!
