This is my 83 silverado i bought it in 2003 as a 2wd with a 305. i spent a summer cleaning and fully painting a 78 suburban k10 frame to put it on so i could have a four wheel drive. then it had a four inch eazy ride lift and 37 inch goodyear mtrs. Then sat the whole body down on the frame with a three inch body block. built a custom A frame under the rear of the cab to corecct for the drop of the suburban frame also brackets to raise the dual saddle tanks. i wish i had pictures to show but i took them all with a disposable camera and most didnt turn out and i have went and had them sacaned on a disk yet. pictures of the truck on 37s are on the second page.
The engine is a 70s model bigblock. it was built by FOX engines in jacksonville. it has world merlin cast iron heads that have been ported and polished and port matched to a edelbrock air gap intake. it has a forged crank and pink truck rods. with 11:1 flat top pistons. and a comp cams perfor mer cam with roller rockers. supposed to produce around 650 horse power and 650 ftlbs of torque. The turbo350 tansmission was built by Best Transmissions with all high end components and a 2800 rpm B&M stall. following that is a 205 transfer case. so it has a 2low.

Obeviously somethin has changed cause its not on 37s and half ton running gear anymore. in january of 09 i decided that the running gear could not handle the enging after breaking an axel. i broke an axle because i put a set of slick 33/12.50s and they had too much taction in a turn.
I had a truck with 3/4 ton axels under it and i decided to use those it also already had the 44s on it but it was a 69 it was all rusted out and no motor. so i ordered a 8inch superlift suspension system. In the rear is a 14 bolt with an eaton carrier and 4.88 gears. up front is a dana 44 with 4.88 gears and warn premium hubs.
