Update May 8/09
--Need Help--
We've been trying to figure out what's wrong with the engine for over four months to no avail. What's happening is, it starts up, runs fine for about five minutes, then shuts off. If you keep giving it gas it will stay running, but the second you let off it dies. If you try to start it up again, it turns over and starts, then imediatly shuts off again. You have to wait about 15-20 minutes before it will run again. We've changed the fuel pump, thermostat and cleaned out the carb multiple times but it keeps happening. PLEASE HELP, I"M GOIN CRAZY.
We just bought our second Raider, it's another 1987. We'll be using it as a parts car and it's already paid for itself via the fuel pump (100$+ if bought new). We took the fuel pump out of it and put it in our Raider. It runs so much better now that it's not leaking gas everywheres.
After that, we'll be focusing on interior and the body. We'll be replacing the driverside door with the one off the Raider we just bought, as well as the fender, and rear right side. As for the interior, we plan to replace our radio/ClimateControl/casset player with the one off the parts car, as well as the tac console. Bed liner might happen if we find enough change laying around ;) and a roll bar/cage with some donated 2" pipe, should be fun :D
Bush bar's on. Photos soon.

Bought this beauty off my uncle for 100$ after it had been sitting in the woods for about two years.

The inside is a mess, mouse nest in the glove box.

The engine is in decent shape, a little piston slap, but we're not planning on fixing that. To our surprise there was a new air filter in it.

Apparently a tree branch went through the front of it several years back, it took out the radiator and the grill, they pluged the Radiator but the grill... well you can see how much effort was put into fixing it...

We got a great surprise when we put it up on the lift for the first time, it had no gas tank. So at the moment the gas lines run to a 20Ltr Gas jug. Works great!

Future Plans:
Roll bar behind the driver/passenger seats or full roll cage.
