Back in Aug. '08 I bought a '07 GT with about 5K miles. It's Torch Red with black leather, 5 speed, factory 3.55 gears and 17" silver painted billet style fact rims. Only mods at that time were a Flowmaster cat-back. And with that its put down 268RWHP and 285RWTQ on Dayton Performance's dyno. After that... money was spent, parts were ordered and the UPS man left us some presents. A Pro 5.0 shifter and a Spec3+ clutch and lightweight flywheel were added shortly after. Also installed was a one piece heavy-duty drive shaft to handle all the torque I'm going to throw at it. And soon after showed up a nice, shiny Kenne Bell polished 2.6L supercharger kit.
The intake and other factory parts were removed and the install of the KB parts began. Including relocating the fuse box and computer. Removing the pass. side headlight cutting out a little of the radiator support beside it to run the CAI down under that area, which also relocates the windshield washer assembly to a new container on the drivers side. After the bumper cover was removed the heat exchanger and pump was mounted under the bumper and the reservoir mounted next to the factory reservoir and the coolant lines ran. After all the removal was done, next came modifying a bunch of wires to hook up where all the sensors were relocated too. A new water inlet, new hoses for the intercooler, new maf, new location of throttle body, etc. The instructions were complete and very good. Then the intake was installed. The new fuel injectors were installed using the original fuel rails that have been modified. Ok, so after the hoses were routed, the intake installed, the fuel lines rerouted, the intercooler mounted, the pump mounted, the alternator mount redone, it was time to put the shiny blower on! Once the intake was finished and the blower installed, it was time to put on the original throttle body and start running the ductwork to connect to the maf. The coolant tank for the intercooler is also mounted up front on the driver's side. The belt is routed and the final parts were put on. After several pulls on the Dayton Performance dynojet, the car made 470 RWHP and 432 RWTQ with 10.8 pounds of boost. And all with the factory throttle body in front of the blower and the stock exhuast after it.
