I bought my 74 gt back in 1988 for $50.When I bought it, it was brown exterior with light tan interior. I wanted a black interior, back then you could find anything you needed for a vega in any junkyard. I found all the interior panels(from about 7 different vegas) I striped the inside, painted all the metal areas black, laid a new black carpet and added the interior panles.

In Aug. 1999 I had the engine rebuilt, it's just the stock 140. I had to go to 4 different machine shops before I found one that took me serious about rebuilding a vega. I added a few little personal touches.

In Dec 1999 my vega was rearended, according to 2 body shops there was $3500-$6000 worth of damage. There was one shop that wouldn't even touch it. In the summer of 2000, my husband and I decided to repair it ourselves. back when I was gather the interior panels I bought I spare hatchback lid and had it stored all these years, which was good, since there was no way to repair the other one. All these pixs were taken after we repaired it. (If I ever get a scanner, I'll add the accident pixs)nans74gt's 1974 Chevrolet Vega
Then in 2001 I came across a 76 cosworth for sale. It's a nice addition for a vega fan.
