sweet ride I'm in the Detroit area also. whats your compression ratio? i'm working on a 80Z: 406 forged flat tops @ 11:1 cr, afr heads, comp 280h cam, 3000 stall, th 350, 3.73 gear. should be done soon hope to see ya around check it out

nice car! brings back memories of my teen years! that cam will probably get you around 350-360 hp. for 450hp you'll need around 240 degrees or more at .050, and a 3000-3500 stall converter. for a stock converter, i would go with a 270 magnum, with a mild stall i would go with a 280 magnum. i'm just offering this advice, so you aren't dissapointed.
