HI, everybody.
here's my 1993 C1500 cheyenne (originally V6 4.3L - single beam grille) turns into a very aggressive V8 zz383 stroker. here's the list of the exterior modifications
none of those would be possible without the help of a friend, who is for me the best mechanic for V8 in tahiti... Lorrens high performance parts..
it has a 2/4 complete belltech lowering kit (spindles, shackles, leaves)
4 eagle 223 two pieces wheels in 15X8 with 245/60 front and 295/50 rear.
goodmark 2" cowl hood
smoothie front bumper
fiberglass roll pan
454SS mirrors
LED tail lights from Neutron motorsports
LED parking lights
Angel eyes head lightsfrom neutron motrosports
front grille
motor change process...
a close up of the engine
it was supposed to be a 454 HO from jegs putting 425 HP and 500 LBS of torque...
finally we decide to take a ZZ383 for his weight, power and size...
on dyno the results were 445 HP and 470 LBS of torque.
we done this complete conversion in 1 week... of hard working
performance specs:
- ZZ383 stroker from GMPP
- aluminium bowtie valve covers
- march power pulleys
- holley double pumper 750 CFM
- Hooker super competion headers ceramic
- GMPP intake manifold - torker style
- flowmaster Super 44 exhaust
- MSD coil
- pertronix distributor
- jegs ignition wire cable
- TH400 B&M transmission
- KN air filter
-accel sparkplugs

by the way, if you plan one day to change your engine + transmission, do not forget to order a special driveshaft...
from this small V6

to this ZZ383 engine

The complete evolution
I bought this car from a friend, from this
the first day, I bought it
to this
2 months later
to finally this
today
it has now a complete set of torq wheels 17X8 front and 17X9.5 rear with falken tires
255/50 front and 275/50 R17 rear....
the next step is to order a complete 454SS rear end, to put the horsepower to the road.
I have also ordered a set of jegs racing seats but I can't find any bracket to fit into my pick up, if someone knows where can I get them, do not hesitate.
by the way I have already a set of bracket from classic industries ( they don't fit)
here's some pictures of my friends cars...
we lived in tahiti and we are US truck lovers, my friend lorrens has 2 454SS pick up (one 1990 and one 1992)
, I own a car parts and audio store, We import directly from USA to tahiti, so we can get all the new products... we recently convert a 89 wrangler into a chevy 383 engine swap
,
a 70 camaro into a BBC 454
turn into a BBC 454 engine
my dream is to one day buy a chevelle like this one, I shot during the 08 sema show in las vegas

foxy ladies from a wheel supplier -

my new wheels - centerline telstar 15X8 front and 15X10 rear with the right backspace and offset, they are awesome, great and they are extremely light... if you have a powerful engine, and a lot of torque, I highly recommand those... you won't be desapointed...trust me
Since I removed my old 17 torq thrust 2 wheels, I see the difference, I can use and abuse the torque of my truck, it is faster and acceleration is awesome.
25mm negative offset rear.
12mm negative offset front
245/60 R15 front BFGOODRICH RADIAL T/A tires
new jegs bucket seats from jegs with custom aluminium brackets
jegs differential cover with edelbrock IAS shocks, the best shocks I tried...
new grant steering wheel
B&M megashifter
new spark plug wires
new stainless upper cooling hose
new complete interior, more look, more sport....
