THEN PRIME IT FOR PAINT. THEN NEW CARPET . ONCE THATS DONE, I'M GONNA PULL THE MOTOR OUT AND GET THE PULLYS AND BRACKETS AND PAN/VALVE COVER AND A-ARMS AND MOUNTS ALL PAINTED. THE NEW GTI HI-COMP 1.8 BIG VALVE OUT OF A 90 GTI IS STRONG...BUT THE ENGINE NEEDS TO LOOK CLEANER...SO I'M GOIN DUAL CARBS AND PULLIN OFF THE CIS, WHICH IS GOING IN A GLASS CASE SINCE ITS THE ORIGINAL CIS FROM THE FACTORY. ALSO, SINCE IT HAS THE GTI MOTOR.. I DON'T SEE WHY I CAN'T PUT ON THE FENDER FLARES AS WELL AS WELL AS THE LARGE DUCK BILL FRONT SPOILER.

update: alternator belt squeals like a bitch....but luckily I found a special self locking alternator bracket from the only vw in the whole entire junk yard....BAD ASS
updat july 5th 2009: transmission blew....replacing clutch flywheel transaxle shafts brakes rotors hubs and barings......
