Well heres the deal... I have a 55 Chevy Panel (pic top right is how I found it in 1987) that I have owned since I was 14. Started the resto on it in 2000 and well its going slow at best. I decided its due to the fact that I want that truck done right! I have no plans of ever parting with the "beast". But this truck is like a breath of badly needed fresh air. I have a goal... which is to get this truck roadworthy for as little money as possible. So if you get on the site and see me doing something rediculous just repeat after me...It was the most cost effective way!!!!

What the &#$&! are you thinking it was basically rusted to the ground. Thank goodness for the wench or it would still be sitting in GA. Somewhere that night after many celebratory beers the Name "Big Ugly" was born hence her tattoo. Not sure exactly how but it doesn't matter cuz it fits beautifully!

Once home and properly assesed it became clear that the job will not be easy. Fortunatly for me I have the 55' Panel and many extra parts that can be donated.
And so the Team begins. The rules are simple...There are no rules just get the job done. And if you get your hands dirty I will let you take her for a spin soon!

So I gutted the inside and let me tell you not all the GA critters stayed in GA!
But like any good fixer upper you rip out the carpet and find Hardwood floors!!! Too bad they fell victim to the damp GA climate! So they gotta go by way of the carpet scraper..
Yeah I'm a bit excited..and I like to dance!
Oh yeah along with Rats nest come droppings!!! Lots and lots of em...so I figure the breather is a smart idea.
Time to reflect and figure out whats the next plan of attack!
My son "Bubba James" is definatly pumped and is already asking when we can go for a ride!? Yikes! Well Stay tuned!!!!

So the latest update (37 days later) in the Saga we have coined "Big Ugly's" Revenge! Got a hold of a blaster and some gear! And about 400lbs of frosted cheerios. Yeah we tried the cinnamon but didn't have the abrasive power and was really making us hungry. Besides when your done the seaguls and other wildlife get to eat the mess! Only problem is the place resembles the local landfill but without the God awfull smell! =)
So next we stole one of my neighbors pool covers...well thats what they get for having an above ground pool...haha!
So a little fitting and a pep talk from caoch "Brewski" and I look like Darth Vader from the planet Vulcan..(just a little Back to the Future quote).

So while "Brewski does all the work..cuz he's still my Bi7ch!! D-Rail finds time to get on E- Harmony via his mini computer phone and not only get himself a date to the prom but also order up some Sicilian style pizza for lunch!!! Now that is impressive!!
