This is it. You see now why my screenname is browncuttyx3. NEW brown paint, brown landau top, and brown interior. Interior is very nice. Has the standard 3.8 V6. This is my first car, Im a senior in highschool this year. Although I would Love a V8, I don't really have the time or money for it, with all this college stuff coming up. I'll list what I have done to it so far, and my plans.
Interior: Pioneer head unit, 3.5" Blaupunkt speakers for the front, Two 6X9 pioneers with 4X10 adapter plates in the back, Thats about it for inside. Just the Brougham interior, bench and granny gauges.
Exterior: New dark Briar Brown paint, got rid of the big chrome rocker mouldings. painted the grilles and headlight bezels like a 442 or hurst. had to get a new rear bumper. Have two 15X7 olds rallies for the back, just need beauty rings for them. plan on 255's on back and 215s on the front. Also plan on cutting the front springs to get about 2 or 3" drop, and getting wagon springs for the rear, and cutting those as well. Thats about it for the exterior.
Chassis: I am very fortunate to live about 4-5 miles from a junkyard that has lots of g-body cars, and that has helped me get the following. Frame to Frame brace under crossmember, radiator X-braces, 1 1/4" front sway-bar, 7/8" rear sway-bar, and fender braces from a GP. I have made my own rear seat X braces, they cost me nothing as compared to buying the same thing for around $70.
I am also in the process of covering the whole trunk in carpet. I saw the kit on G-bodyparts.com for like $140, and decided to make it myself, the fabric I'm using is in the auto section at walmart for like $9, lol. savin' some money. Thats about all for now.

This is my dads first car, a '69 Cutlass supreme convertible, and his second car, a '69 442. I guess Oldsmobile is in my blood. lol.

UPDATE!!!
I should have a set of rally gauges soon, spotted the cutlass from the road in a very small junkyard. called about it and the guy said it had buckets and a console. It didn't have buckets or console but does have the option rally gauges. Score!!!
I also got all the old undercoating off of the front of the frame, wire brushed it, and threw some new 3m undercoating on there as well as the front wheel wells too. Looks a lot better.
I need the drivers side inner fender (the metal one) as its rusted up pretty bad. Shouldn't be too big of a problem. Just find one at the junkyard, clean it up and swap the new with the old.
Should have it inspected very soon here, can't wait to drive it.
My new job will help me save up for some tires too...If you read above 255's in the back and 215's on the front. Should look BAD A$$!!
Oh, and I'm trying to tint my windows, didn't realize how much measuring had to be done.
Pics from my latest "journey" never realized how much work was involved in removing and replacing an inner fender until I did it myself. lol. Went really smoothly, only took two half-days to complete. enjoy

Made a hood ornament delete, and got the all white reverse lights. enjoy the pics.

^^new light on left vs. old light on right^^

BIG UPDATE AS OF 5/21!!!!!!
Powerplant-transplant. Picked up a rebuilt '74 olds 355 block for $100. Whole rotating assembly is brand new, but its a bare block other than that. I've been hittin' up junkyards and ordering parts like crazy. Swap should be underway pretty soon.

Here is the engine almost all there. Should be getting the parts in the mail today, 7/21. The other pic is with new rear springs. They are F-body camaro springs and gave me 3/4" drop with no isolators. The front springs will be cut soon.

The engine is all painted now, forgot the camera though. Swapped in the heater box and had a little photo shoot as well.

ENGINE SWAP!!!!
Got the engine in today 8/19/09 with headers. It's the best feeling in the world!!!

Now I just need to rebuild my quadrajet (which is off of a 472 caddy), hook up the starter and engine harness, time it and the tires will be ready to roast off!! JK...but really ;)

Just got a 7.5" posi with 4.56 gears. Gonna switch the gears to 3.08 or 3.42. It was a steal for $75 :)
Also picked up a 600 CFM Edelbrock carb for $45. Should hopefully be running before snow flies!! (10-26)
