This is Luis Martinez Designs 1997 Nissan 240sx Drift/Show car. Built by custom car builder Luis Martinez. I have used unique style, dedication, and most importantly love of the automotive movement to develop high profile vehicles.

Original Rendering of project

Bought the car in October 2006 and didnt start working on it until February 2007. The whole build took about 2 - 3 months. The car was first taken to Leading Edge Motorsports in Nazareth, PA to install the Tein suspension and the SPC Camber Kits

The old engine was taken out and a brand new engine was bought with 0 miles! What was installed in the new engine was: JE Pistons, BC Cams, BC Valve train, ported polished head, Eagle Rods, ARP Hardware, Cometic head gasket and some other goodies :)

During all the hard work the Luis Martinez Designs crew would often visit the Pepsi vending machine that brian from Pepsi provided us and drank cold refreshing Pepsi all day hahahaha.

I thought long and hard of how I could make this 240 stand out from the rest. I called Leigh over at Extreme Dimensions and and he provided the M1 sport JDM body kit. After the kit was recieved I called long time friend Brian Fox over at BASF Paint, to decide a color to paint this new project. After several hours over the phone Brian and I decided to build the first BASF flat red car on the east coast. The colors we went with were a top coat of BASF Carizzma flat black and a bottom coat of Carizzma flat torch red.

I needed the car to be safe just in case it ever saw some track time so Rick from Autopower over in California supplied the roll cage. Also, I needed something light for the car to roll on so Suzanne from Enkei Inc. provided 19x8.5 ET22 Front and 19x9.5 ET22 Rear one piece forged wheels. The wheels were wrapped in some sticky BFGoodrich KDW 2 Tires 225/35/19F 255/35/19R. Thanks to Vicki at BFGoodrich!

The car was then trailerd over to Powell Customs in Nazareth, PA to do the body work, paint the car, paint and install the roll cage, paint the lips on the wheels, apply the graphics, and install the body kit. Dave Powell, Owner of Powell Customs, worked on the 240 himself! Dave spent countless hours and sleepless nights to have the car the car ready for the photo shoot by Dan Jenkins in September 2007.

After the real hard work was done the car was then trailerd back to Auto Addictions to install some of the last odds and ends. Donavan from Vibrant Performance provided the beautiful 3" stainless steel Cat-back Exhaust and 3" High Flow Cat, they gave the 240 some great HP and sounded awesome too!! Daniella from Recaro USA and I spent some time over the phone to choose the right seats for the car. We decided to go with the Pole Positions in Velour Red. Auto Addictions installed the Peak Racing Harnesses that went well with the seats. I needed some heavy duty switches to control the fuel pump and other accessories on the nissan, I called my buddy Vince over at Ignited Performance and his toggle switches did just the trick!
The Nissan put down a whopping 578 hp to the wheels and 386ft lbs. of torque on race gas!!!
