1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT
This is my project car turned daily driver. It has a low mileage lx9 engine, donated from an 05' Pontiac G6, which is a bigger engine. People ask why do a swap for such small gains, my answer is because its a fresh engine with greater potential for power. The LX9 has better intake manifolds, heads, and actual greater displacement. My grand am is atleast one of the first twenty-five ever swapped. The car is a blast for me personally, it has great power and good handling. The car is nothing super rare or unique but you can't mistake it for another. I plan on boosting the performance on the bottom end. There is actually a lot too come, so just check back on my page. Please rate the car, if you like it and what I've done.
** It wasn't always as nice as it is. Take a look at page 3 for before n afters.
10/18/09 - Bought a 65mm throttle body from a member on grandamgt.com and will be porting the intake manifold to match the TB friday. Hopefully get to the track early so I can make about five passes, I'll post any new times.
