It all started when i got a 91' ford expo from a guy my dad worked with. he was moving to alaska and he needed it gone. i was told that the truck would go into reverse. when i got there we couldn't get the truck even out of drive. and when i crawled under the truck to see what was up the main seal from the motor to the tranny blew and dumped all over me and the ground.

so it began.

heres the rig when i first got it;

it was in bad shape, the drivers door wouldnt close, the front tires were both down to the cords, and interior was pretty beat but it was a ford so the motor still ran good. :)

well. 600 bucks and many hours later, she was home with a new tranny and a fixed drivers door. bought some new 30s for it and i was happy with it. for now.

I got a 4 inch suspension lift in the progress right now, the rear axle is out, and the front is half way. Cant wait till its done. And I am probobly going to use a C4 like you say, I got one already from my Ranger that had a 5.0 swap. The beadlocks I got from a guy for $350, so I didnt weld them myself. Wouldnt be too difficult to weld some up though.

The Warn hubs I got off a buddy of mine for $50, and they were practically brand new! Threw in some spares for me too. If I was to buy some online or at a store, I would get some Warn Jeep hubs, they are identical to the Ranger/Explorer hubs, but more heavy duty, if you want more info or a link to more info on those just ask. And yes, I highly recommend the manual hubs over automatic hubs. I couldnt believe how much of a difference there is after I switched over. I will never go back to auto hubs, even if given a brand new pair for free. By duals, did you mean dual exhaust ? I havent really decided upon the whole setup for my exhuast yet, but I am going to make sure it is out of the way, probobly tuck it as high up as I can. Throw some flowmasters on her. Relocating the computer wasnt much of a pain in the ass really. I took the glove box door off, trimmed the backing of it so that the glove box will still shut after the computer is in there. Take off the plastic interior panel on the passenger side, un bolt the computer, should be some plastic crappy bracket holding it there with screws. Basically just be careful of the wires going to the computer, you dont want to stretch the wiring harness. After you have the computer free and your glove box door off, I am pretty sure I slid the computer up under neath the dash and behind the glove box, if I remember correctly. Then its time to make some brackets to mount her in there. I will get pictures of my setup this weekend for ya as well. Its nothing to be intimidated about. I gotta tell ya, it sure is nice to have water come in the cab, and not have to worry about the stupid computer.
