zacdaman91's 1979 Chevrolet El Camino*UPDATE* -- Just got the carb rebuilt.... (i fail at rebuilding em myself) And just got a set of Hooker super comp headers... Will be installing this Thursday... Be sure to come check for new vids. *-* Well This is my El Camino. I got it off some junk yard and im working on building it up. I am 17 yrs old working for minimum wage so right now its basically parked. I said that mainly to express I am not some rich kid who is askin his dad to restore the car for him. Its in fairly decent condition minus a few blemishes ill be posting info and more pics soon RATE AND GIVE ADVICE PLEASE!

This is the ORIGINAL 350 ci engine. No idea how many times odo has rolled over but sounds and performs great for a daily driver. CURRENT ENGINE WORK NEEDED: needs new distributor and wires, needs a new carburetor, needs some cosmetic work and hoses replaced. Stock TH200 tranny went Ka-chunk so its in the shop for now, im putting a slightly more reliable TH350 in it and it will grand total me at 1500, but itll be worth it i spose.

Im just showcasing, exterior has a little rust and some panel scars, but still has everything ORIGINAL and this was after hours of cleaning and waxing (to see where the paint stands)

This is a side-by-side comparison of before and after waxing (made on helluva difference i used some of grandpas OLD PASTE WAX... great stuff) Back panel has now been attempted to restore but has too much sun damage so it needs stripped and repainted... Will leave As-is for now

This is a video.... somewhat bad quality.... will be posting more better videos soon, just basically showcasing how it runs and sounds, it has a slight racing cam to it but not TOO much cam, the video of me driving will be posted after this one... What can i say, I love it!
