Then, I decided to tackle the much hated Tan interior.  I didn't know what I wanted to do with it first, so I decided to go get some cheap paint and the hardware store and see how that turned out.

I wanted to make sure that I painted every tan piece I could see.  Even the small little covers that go on the seat legs!  For the doors I used a different kind of paint.  The parts store had a vinyl paint that would stick to surfaces like no other.  So, I decided to go with that.  I think it looks amazing!

 I HATE TAN!!!

Next I decided to get a little crazy.  While I had most of the interior out already, I couldn't help myself, but to remove the entire carpet and put in a new one.  I went on ebay and found a black set (to replace the gross tan) and bought it, thinking this was going to be a pretty easy job..... NOT!

It's a little hard to see, but you get the gist.  I think it came out perfect for a first timer with no experience in automotive interiors.

While the center consol was out, I decided to go big with the REAL B&M short shifter kit and the bushings kit for the plate and under the hood shifter linkage.  This made a world of difference.  After setting the short shifter to 50% reduction in throw, I barely have to move my wrist to shift.

I also decided that I wanted to try something.  I have seen it on the forums and thought it would be a nice touch in the custom direction.  Yes, the Boost Gauge Cigg lighter swtich!  I think it looks pretty sweet!
