and as I began work on Da Brat, I first started by taking out the seats and ripping out the carpet... next i'm going to remove the dash and cover all the electrical with plastic and pressure wash the whole inside of the cab... but in the mean time i rebuilt the carbarator and finally got it running... runs rough but none the less it is running! Here are a few pics of the interior as it is now...

The passanger side floorboard does have a rust hole but thats expected for a 31 year old truck, right? lol

...So I have been workin on Da Brat a little at a time and have made quite a bit of progress! I have taken out the dash, taken the shell off, cleaned out the bed, and pounded out the dents as best as I could! I've got it running and have driven it around the back yard a little bit! Everything works, clutch, 4wd, etc! Now i'm am going to change the engine and tranny oils and fill the radiator! After that i'll need to find some seats... Here are a few more recent pics of Da Brat...

I found this little guy on the floor of Da Brat so i picked him up and drew on a beard and an eye patch beings he already had the ship anchor on his shirt, so I figured I would finish his pirate look! Then i'm going to glue him to the dash and he will be a little good luck charm! hahaha :D

Hey MTNDUDE, how's that brat coming along? I've gone and bought one too! Got it off ebay and it owes me 120. Don't know how that translates into dollars but, I can weigh cars in for scrap over here for that much! You can imagine what state it's in I'm sure! Will post some pics of it soon but don't be fooled by them, it's mostly made of nicely painted filler!!! Started the weldathon underneath and will get to the end of it eventually! Most importantly, steering wheel had to go, so a couple of hours with the angle grinder & welder created a boss to take the momo 'wheel from the old Legacy. Starting to to look better already!!! SVX still cool and working fine, got 125k miles and gonna be 13years old this year so I'm waiting for the BIG bill to come!!

Brat looks positivly excellent compared to them over here! '70's brats are unheard of and the '80's ones are rare and all started life on muddy sheep farms, I've never even seen one with staight panels! Good luck with yours though, looks like it's crying out for some Legacy/Impreza turbo running gear?? As for my SVX, I just smoke it about as my everyday car so won't go too mad with it yet(Have got got some fun ideas on twin turbos and manual gearboxes though)!! Have fun and enjoy.
