Welcome to the new site for my Ford Probe. I've owned it since June of 2000.

This site was last updated July 23, 2007.

The dyno sheet shows 153.6 peak HP and 169.6 ft-lbs of torque.

On April 30th, 2004 I ran 9 passes at Interstate Dragway on the 1/4 mile strip. For the first day of racing I was really happy with my new best of 15.401 @ 90.73 mph. My previous best from 2003 was roughly 16.5 @ 82 mph. A number of things had changed with the car since then: replaced O2 sensor, fixed throttle cable as it wasn't opening correctly, added the Kooks custom headers and removed the cat, and added the ported lower intake manifold. I was racing on my worn Goodyear Eagle HP tires both times.

Update 6-8-2005
I uploaded a new picture of my engine bay. I finally installed my ported and polished heads, and some parts got a makeover courtesy of Duplicolor. I've also been testing out advanced ignition timing again. Right now, after putting in 91 octane fuel with a bottle of CD-2 Off-Street Legal octane booster, the timing has been set at about 16 degrees BTDC. It feels really good, but the idle has suffered a little. It isn't as smooth as it is at a more conservative timing setting.

Update - 3/24/2005
The entire sound system is removed, as well as the back seats, rear seat belts, and most interior garnishment pieces from the doors back. The stock wing is removed also. Yes, the name of the game is weight reduction. The car sounds pissed off. The last time the car was weighed it showed 2940 pounds, now tonight it showed 2720 on the scale. The Rota Subzero wheels are gone and I'm using stock '89 Probe GT wheels now. More changes are coming soon.

Update - 2/8/2005
19 lb/hr injectors and homemade ground wire set added, ignition timing changed to ~20 degrees BTDC

I had significant ignition system problems. Suddenly the engine would not start, and I tracked down a fried ignition coil. Some very corroded wire connections were repaired, and since the distributor had to be removed to test the TFI module, the timing had to be set. I'd never set the timing before, and I kept doing it wrong. That's fixed now and the Probe is back on the road. The MSD coil is sitting on my shelf as junk, and I picked up a limited lifetime warranty Borg Warner coil to replace it.
