I bought the jeep totaled off a friend as a parts jeep for my 92. The 92 started having more problems than I could keep up with, so I built the 97. Most of what it needed the 92 had, hence the old style frontend. It only took a couple days to straighten the unit body back out and hang new sheet metal, well worth the effort. I just never got around to painting it, been meaning to for about two years now.
The springs and shocks are from bds, the rest is homemade or modified factory. Lower control arms have been cut and lengthened to recenter the axle in the wheel well, to eliminate folded fenders, I also angled them to allow more travel and flex. The uppers have been lenghtened to compensate for the lowers and correct pinion angle. All in all it works out to be about a 6" lift. Factory trackbar ball joint has been cut off, I sleeved the end and fitted it with a Johnny Joint. Stock mount has been modified to accept the j/j. Although the set up works, I'm not satisfied with it, i'll be switching to 1999 and up WJ track bar soon. Transfer case has been lowered 1", but will be romoved when I do the sye kit. Rear susupension is almost done, it has 2" blocks in it tempororarily, until I have time to make new shackles. Will probably do sye and shackles together.

I finally built my bracket for the WJ trackbar, or should i say i built off the stock XJ bracket.
