Hello, and thank you for visiting my page for my 2001 Pontiac Firebird.

It is a base V6 model with the 5 speed manual transmission, which is what I wanted. Even with the V6 which stock makes 200hp and 225ft-lbs, it can easily spin the tires with the manual tranny and the car's light weight.

Just got new tires put on it. They're Sumitomo HTR H4 245/50/16 all the way around.

Driving back home on the Loop 101 from my first week back at colledge after winter break.

I modified the intake a little to help it breath better.

First I got rid of the restrictive air baffles that were between the air lid and MAF by replacing it with a piece of 3" ABS plastic pipe that was about 4 1/4" long and tapered the inside edge with an air grinder and metal file.

I then used a pair of dikes and the air grinder to remove most of the ribs on the top of the inside of the air lid. The light lines are the ribs that I cut off.

The final thing I did was install a replacement K&N filter. Overall, I think I gained about 5hp, improved the throttle response, and should improve my milage slightly.

The past week has been unusually cool for June in AZ, so me and my dad went to the drag strip the other night. I didin't get as good of times as I hoped, with me consistently running in the low 16's at 86mph.

Just got a custom cat back exhaust put on. It is 2 1/2 inch system the entire way and has a Magnaflow performance muffler with a single exit. It sounds pretty good for a V6, and I was able to take a half second off my  E.T. and gained 2.5mph.

Here's a link to a video of me running down the drag strip

nice ride man. i know my profile has a cavalier but i just got a 98 bird with a v6 and 5-speed and i love these things. a few questions. how did you get your shift knob off and does your shifter move around a lot when in gear and accelerating? think it needs a new trans mount. thanks a lot 5 *****

What kind of exhaust do you have. I am trying to find something that is deep and sexy but not real quite. I already shaved my air box lid, and I can't wait to get the filter and PVC
