Old advertisements for the company that made the Maxi Taxi kit. Found on dunebuggyarchives.com. I visited the factory (Bremen Sports Equipment) that use to make the Maxi Taxi kit in Bremen, Indiana but could not find much information. The company has changed names but is still in the injection/fiberglass molding business of some type. I am planning to spend some time this coming spring/summer in the town of Bremen to find any information I can.

Hi, I inherited a Maxi Taxi from my mother. When my father passed she would not get rid of anything of his and so it sat in a garage. finally the roof began to leak the chrome all rusted and of course i cant get it started. I sorta have been chosen to try and get it back on the road. I did a search to try and find out what the value might be. But after seeing your article it has partially inspired me to do what needs to be done to get it on the road. Im new to this and not sure how to post pictures but im gonna try to get them on here. I was wondering what the cost was to redo the grill, bumpers and the various other re-chroming. My father was a dealer for Bremen sport. I had made countless journeys from Allentown, Pa. to Bremen to haul quite a few buggies home. My father started out selling campers and his friend kept telling him over and over if you see those dune buggies bring one home.. well sure enough he ran across them and started selling them in this area. My father purchased the black Maxi Taxi that is shown on your flier from Bremen sports. The underside of the body was coated with a very soft velvet material. The car was shown at a NHRA car show in Chicago where I believe it took a first place for its class. I will visit my mom within the next month or so and rummage through some of the dune buggie stuff. If i find anything of interest ill be sure to let you know.
