(7/04/11)Havent really made any progress with the brakes or transmission swap. But back in May I had the car retuned. Forgot to post up here the results. Car made 275 whp and 360wht. The tuner told me the limiting factor with this car is the turbo. If I put a bigger turbo on the car it could potentially make a great deal more. The little stock t3 just doesnt cut it! Its still very fun and peppy at 275 whp weighing in at only 2200-2400lbs.

(4/17/2011)Been a long while since I updated This cardomain. Been really down about the project with little problems popping up, alot of bumps in the road, and buying a 300zxtt. I still own this car but progress has been very slow. Recently had the floor pans redone. The first time it was done very cheaply by a not so good welder, now it has been professionally welded, coated and sealed. Bought a new clutch as the old stock one was slipping, got it installed, turned out to be far from bolt on, with some custom work and professional help it is now in the car, fully operational, with no slipping. Also I ended up breaking down and buying tokico illumina struts which have now been installed. Car sits 1+" lower than stock now. Right now I have aquired some 300zx brake calipers and 5 speed transmission(far superior than the 280zx 5 speed in there now). I plan to have some custom work done to fit these caliper on the car, possibly running a 12.75" 350z slotted track rotor. I'm throwing ALOT of money at this car with very little progress showing because most of the work is COMPLETELY custom. When I am finished I hope to have a car that has a chassis from the 1970's but will outperform a brand new 2011 car in all areas. Here is a picture when I got the car back from finally getting the clutch squared, brand new floors welded in, and struts/springs installed.

Notice the good 1" of dust on the car... :) Haha.
