beam514's 1999 Galant, 3.5L V6, 5 speed manual swapped

First off, I'd like to thank Boostzealot, WarmandSCSI, M-Rod, SPD_FRK, and anyone else that may have helped me come as far as I have. Many thanks to the members of GalantTuners.com, and TheGalantCenter.net.

Update (7-10-09) : 6G74 swap is under way. The old 6G72 has been pulled out, and I will soon be mating up the automatic transmission to the 6G74 as current funds do not permit me to do the 5 speed swap.
Update (7-16-09) : It is currently 5:20 am, and I am just finishing up some things haha. The 6G74 is mated to the automatic transmission, and everything should be ready to drop into the engine bay today. Plan to have the car running by 7-18-09
Update (7-17-09) : The 6G74 is mounted in the engine bay. Going to start plugging everything back in.
Update (7-20-09) : the complete electrical harness has been plugged into all the components of the engine. There are a few vacuum fittings that I cannot seem to figure out as they do not appear in the stock Galant. Also ran into some problems with the fitment of the intake and battery. May be doing a battery relocation to solve this; however this may add at least a week on to the swap as I need to order a relocation kit. Also still need to put on the belt for the AC and alternator, and still need to put in the axles.
Update (7-22-09) : My dad and I put the axles back in tonight, along with finishing replacing the radiator + thermostat in my brother's '98 Nissan Maxima. Started adding back the fluids tonight, will continue to do so in the morning. Still have some issues to figure out with the stock intake piping, some vacuum lines, and the fitment of the battery. Looks like I'll have to turn to a Braille battery or something.
Update (7-25-09) : Started the car today!! Ran into some small kinks again (some hoses not being tight enough, battery being a little weak, etc.) but once it warmed up it ran just fine! This is now unofficially the second 3.5L swapped 8G Galant in the nation.
Update (3-14-11) : So I never updated this section after I completed the 5 speed swap, but I got it done. I'm running teh SPEC stage 1 clutch which has given me no problems. I finishsed the swap during winterbreak of 2009 (so around December 2009). Since then, I have also obtained and installed: Spoon Lip and a SEIBON carbon fiber hood. I also got some 4500K HIDs from DDM Tuning. I will be adding some new parts this upcoming summer, and will start tuning the car myself, so check back for some more updates!!
Update (3-21-11) :
If you want to follow my progress on Tuning this car, go to Galant Tuners and read my thread on the car here: http://www.galanttuners.com/index.php/topic,702.msg9295.html#msg9295
If you want check up on the status of tuning a 1999/2000 ECU for this car, visit this thread: http://www.galanttuners.com/index.php/topic,589.msg7307.html#msg7307
I'm getting a lot of kinks/problems figured out with the .xml and ROM files. Stay tuned.
Update (11-30-11) :
WOW! almost the end of the year and I have hardly updated this. I haven't done much to the car lately, but we are now able to read/write to the 1999 and 2000 ECU's for this car. Again, you can find this info at www.galanttuners.com. Big thanks to Isaurio, SPD_FRK, acamus, and anyone else that contributed to this effort.
That said, I haven't had time to do much, if any, tuning. I should be getting some help from BLACK HEART MOTORS. Great guys, you can check them out at www.blackheartmotors.net.
