Edmond Taylor's 'REAL" 1990 300E (W124) AMG w/ 2.6 When I bought this new project car in January of 2007, which was right after I sold the "TRD CELICA" in December 2006 to a nice guy in Wisconson. He is very active during the race season with my old Celica, and has done various modifications to the car , just to add to the extensive list of items that I did to it during the 9 years I owned and raced it. He eventually will edit his cars page in the future. I cannot say when, but it's truly time that I post my new project that has kept me so busy for the past 2 years!!!
It is an 1990 300E (W124) 2.6 w/auto trans. and this was one of the first, if not the first, true AMG package, that was how you acquired was order the car and the package and then when your special ordered package arrived, the dealer would complete the order by the assembly of all the items that you require it to be considered an AMG Package. My car has been, during it's whole life, unchanged until I bought it. As you know, by my Celica, modify is my fortay! So, to bring the classic AMG into the new mellinium, it has had about $10,000.00 worth of mods, also to include a complete engine rebuild the factory specs to keep her factory original. The wheels are from a eBay find that were custom made 2008 style AMG wheels(C,E Class) made to fit my W124 body style, but included the AMG logo, which none other do.
The rest of the mods are to include front and rear lighting upgrades, extensive interior mods including a huge stereo mod. And I am still doing upgrades to it, and they will put in picture form. Check out the european outside mirror conversion. I am currently doing alot of local car shows with my car in the Southern California area.
