A little info on the Explorer. It is a 1997 Explorer XL with 176,000 km on the body and 11,000 km on the 2003 Ford Ranger 4.0L SOHC engine. I picked it up at a wicked price and now it is time to reap the benefits.

Tonight I made a "custom" intake by taking the old air box, dremeling the back off of it and using a 3" to 2" plumbing connection.
