Carl, great looking personal piece for the road. I spent 25 years in the imported auto business in sales and leasing. I recently discovered a 1988 Impulse, red, 113,000 miles, 5spd, turbo, lotus suspension, in what appears excellent condition. I cannot find anyone locally who knows anything about this car, its quality, reliability, availability of parts, dollar value, or a list of its weak points. If it is still available I am going to test drive it and if possible have a mechanic look it over in detail. It is being driven on somewhat regular basis, appears well cared for. I need some guide lines on how to evaluate this car from someone who knows what he/she is talking about; what to look for; what to expect to immediately fix or replace, etc. Any info, referrals, ideas, war stories are welcomed. please give me a heads up on anything that would tell me that this is truly a worth while project that will not put me in the poor house....general I know but I need a place to start.

beautiful car my friend, Piazza/Impluses are amazingly rare even when they were new. Kudos on such an awesome specimen
