Hello, Tech-944 here. You should remember me from my 2.5 year build up of my Porsche 944. Miss her, she is in the hands of a proud new owner. This picture below will keep her in all of our hearts throughout this 928 site build up. Here I will be documenting my 928 overhaul, and everything I do to my new baby, Big Redd.
Here's to my 944 past love, she will be missed...
So, with that said, let me introduce the newest member of my family, my 1979 Porsche 928. I have been looking for a decent first generation, K Jet-Tronic car with a manual trans, good shape, strong mechanics, maintained, etc. Took a while but I found one. Ironically I found a Guards Red on black combo, obviously I have been used to that color combo so it does not bother me, actually looks really nice on the 928 style. AND, as you will see below, I kept my Newly painted Black C4S wheels with fresh Pirelli Tires front and rear, from the 944. The wheel/tire combo looks very agressive on the 928, and really gives it the meat it needs to handle the power. This car runs great, is an absolute beast and sounds amazing. There is tons of custom exhaust work from the headers back, and I mean all the way back. It is ALL 3 inch, all stainless and again sounds insane. I will be posting pics later of the under carriage, a look at the custom pipe work, and how nice underneath of the car is. I have been working a very well thought out battery box overhaul, will document that too, stay tuned for updates!!!
So here are some pics of the beast I like to call Big Redd. This thing is bad ass, and I ALWAYS had crazy love for the Porsche 928's. Check it out, looks very nice, paint is decent, etc. Going through the entire car now to see what I am up against. As you can see I made a custom plate mount for my authentic German tag, adds a real nice touch to the cars front end. Can't wait to share all of the build up with you, I have some really cool ideas planned, and the interior restore will be nothing short of awesome.
My new baby...
Thanks for checking out my new beast and move on to see p age 2 as I begin the overhaul/customize/build up/restore of my new project, my 1979 Porsche 928.
Don't forget to rate me 5 stars!!!
