1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle.
I bought this car on December 21, 2008 for $100. Actually, I got this car and a 74 Super Beetle Parts car for $100.
Basically, I will be slowly fixing this car up using parts from the 74.

The red/orange car is the 74 Parts Car.

DOOR REPLACEMENT
I cleaned up both cars, then pulled the driver's side doors, and replaced the bashed one on this car with the good one from the orange car, but I also had to take the glass out of the blue door, and install it in the orange door. I also put a headlight in.

This car had a stuck right front brake when I got it, so today I pulled it apart and replaced the entire brake assembly with the one from the parts 74, which seemed to have good brakes still. I also replaced the broken fuel filler door with the one from the 74, and installed a driver's side mirror.

I got my powerplant. It's a 1600 Dual Port, that is about to become a 1915.

I took off the busted up hood and replaced it with a junkyard special.

I picked up another 72 Super Beetle parts car.

I took off the yelow hood and replaced it with the dark blue one, because it was in better shape and looked better too. I also replaced the passenger side taillight housing for the same reason.

2-8-09
Pulled the tranny out of the 74 parts car. I had to borrow a few tools from a friend, but it came out easily. It will be used in this car when I put it all together.
