Do you like the curves!
Yeah that's how I fell in love with Norma Jeane too!!
I am sure that everyone has a story to go with their car, so here's mine.
It was January 2005, it was raining in Portland, Oregon (go figure). I was heading back to the office after breakfast. I was passed by a Grey Pontiac Solstice. Having never seen or heard of this car, I did the double take, quickly caught up to it and gawked for about 10 minutes as I foolowed the car.
Once at my office, I quickly looked up the car on the internet. I discovered that Pontiac had shown several cars in Portland prior to selling them, and I happened on some lucky person getting a ride in one before they ever went on sale!!!
Well this car became that car I had to have!
When the N/A came out in 06', I skipped work one day and went out for a test drive (In the rain). I liked the car, but was not a fan of it's limited 160 hp. Hearing that the car was getting a horsepower upgrade (Turbo - GXP) in 07' I decided to bide my time and wait for the right car.
When the GXP came out, demand was crazy. Dealerships were jakcing the price as much at 10K over MSRP.
It took me only a year of waiting and dealing with three dealerships before I found the right car at the right price. I brought home my GXP on March 13, 2007.
This car was the car on the pedestal at the 07' Portland Auto Show.
I do upgrades as I can afford it. Engine is pretty much done. Interior next and then something sweet in paint! Keep checking back.
Norma Jeane is a 07' Solstice GXP - her color is "Mean" (yellow)
so is the license plate......
I've done many of the mod's yself. One of the first was to shorten the throw of the shifter and personalize it with a Momo shift knob .
I painted the brake calipers red and added some lettering for effect!
above: Is the Turbo heat shield. I got it from MBRP exhaust.
Some custom paint under the hood
I also found some cool lighting for under the hood. Killer Glass is what this is if you are not familiar with it. Norma Jeane is featured on their webiste site too.

Wind Restrictor has helped me out with some wind screens to personalize my moods!

More Chrome under the hood from MBRP (intercooler pipes)
