my new 79 spitfire the price was so good i couldn't resist it. put some gas in it and it started up in freezing weather. drove it home in the rain/snow with no tranny cover or wipers, lights, etc, oh and no brakes unless you pumped the heck out of them. had it for a couple weeks fixed the brakes, some rear bushings fixed up the interior, took off ugly bumpers. waiting for some new parts and a trip to get some chrome bumpers. wish it was summer.

heres the day i got her, mother trucker is posing with what she hopes is her new summer ride. interior before

after i just used some cheap 25 dollar seat covers and cut them up and installed them like the real seat covers. they were way to loose without cutting them up. they'll work for now cause i got other things to worry about.

repainted wheels and removed bumpers for painting but decided there was no way i could put them back on. waiting for better weather to go get chrome bumpers.

got some chrome bumpers finally starting to look like something. might get them rechromed in the future, but they look good enough for now.

final found an overdrive trans for a good price best thing i've done yet its like a whole new car. i drove it on the highway and wasn't scared crapless. she is now ready for summer. if it ever gets here.

i also added corvette airshocks to the rear to combat rear sag worked great. orderd extra air valve so i could adjust each side independently.
