TurboTrail's 1987 Nissan Pulsar

TurboTrails 1987 Nissan Pulsar

This is my 1987 Nissan Pulsar NX that i got for free. The previous ower though he blew up the motor when he actually just blew a head gasket. I took the motor apart, identified the problem, machined the head and got a new head gasket and water pump. I have yet to put the car back together but i am soon. The car has 134,504 original miles, and the body is in excellent condition for the age of the car. There is only one small rust spot on the hatch, and some body work was done on the right door. I am planning on painting the car and get some nice rims and lower it. This is my first car as i am only 16 years old.

Current mods:

2 Alpine Type-E 10'' Subs, Custom sub box - $33 - One sub was free from jshaw4 , paid 25 for the other, dad had materials for a sub box, and $8 for the rhinoliner

4 Infinity mids and highs - Free - Came out of an old junk car we had

Alpine MRV-T757 - Free - Came out of car we bought

Rockford fosgate 160.4 amp - Free - Neighbor gave it to me

Old school sony CD Player - Free - Came in the car

Short shifter - Free - Cut down the shifter a little

Straight Exhaust, Custom Tip - Free - Dad welded it, 2'' exhaust all the way back

Motegi SP10 17x7 rims - $370- with 4 new nexen N3000s, and lug nuts

Tinted windows, 5% on back three windows, 20% on side windows, 32% on windshield - $50

Black Painted Interior - $50 - Duplicolor vinyl & Fabric paint

Arospeed Lowering springs - $70

Clear Projector headlights with 1000K HID kit - $72 - Favorite upgrade so far

Blue LED dash kit

Future mods:

Got mustang, no further plan for this whip

5-28-09:  Got the 4 new nexen N3000 205/40ZR17's in which were $210 shipped to my front door. They are mounted and the car is lowered, but it is lowered more in the back than the front which is going to be lowered more in the next few days.I also bought another Alpine Type-E 10'' from ebay for $25 shipped and have my own sub box built for it. It is made out of Oriented Strand Board, not MDF. I am going to get some carpet this weekend to cover it up because it is not a pretty sight. There was alot of rattle on the trunk lid, so i went to lowes and bout a $4 can of insulating foam and had some extra fatmat that somebody left over which is like dynamat.

5-7-09:  Just got some new rims for $140.. They had 2 good tires, i have 4 17 inch brand new ones but they are 235/40ZR17 and they scrub in the rear so the front tires are bigger than the back for now. I just ordered 4 new tires which are on the back right now.. 205/40ZR17..I am going to paint the rims the original color they came, Hyper Black

5-4-09: So far i blew the rockford fosgate 10 and i got an Alpine Type-E 10 running now, and got the T-Tops painted carbon fiber for a test spray, the final product will be better on the other set of T-Tops, i also cut the muffler off and got a tip from my dad's extra set of mercury maruader exhaust tips and welded a tip on there for looks and sound, and got an RCA splitter so i can run my ipod and head unit through my speakers.

Just washed it
