Dave's 1990 VW Fox
Front page appearances:
March 2009 @ spot #2!!!!
I saw my old VW the other day. My friend who bought it is running it now. He put in a day of wrenching and some parts from his stash, and it's all red now and running. Who would've guessed...anyway.... Thanks for all the good ratings, they put me @ #2! PLZ comment and rate, and I will return the favor! Also, check out my new car, the Sunfire.

Hey! I decided to put up a page for my fox! I had the fuel system die on her a few months back, but I wanted to put up a page for what she used to be anyway. More pix and details to come, but I don't have time now.

When I had her running these were the mods and specs:
1.8 L single cam engine
180 watt Boss deck with Roadmaster box and 6x9s in the back and amp/balancer (now in my sunfire)
-American racing shift handle and pedals
-Full Boar/XLerator exhaust system
-16" neon overhead light
-LOTS of new parts(once a collision victim and it needed many replacements)
-Aftermarket Panorama sunroof (a pain to install)
I drove her about a year before she up and died. She was a good car, and peppy. She had no rust, but many new body parts. When the fuel system goes in a fox, it's gone, and this one went. She's still sitting, although technically she's been bought back by her former owner for a possible repair.

That's the trunk setup. I used speakers from everywhere, and it sounded good. My wiring abilities sucked at that point so it looked ghetto, but other than that it was really loud. I ditched most of this part of the setup and left it in the fox when I got a new car.

That's my sunroof. Clean, nice install, but slow and painful as well.

There's a comparison. Left is when I got it, right is when I sold it. It was really dirty, and the back seat was worse.
Like I said, she was a decent car, and a good learning experience. I liked her, and was sad to have to sell her. Leave me comments, ask me questions, etc. :)
