This is our 1972 Dodge Demon 340. It was acquired for me by my wife as a wedding present, and with a tremendous amount of help from my Dad, it was on the road about 18 months after buying it.
The Demon is powered by a 340, stock bore and stroke, with 1973 340 heads, lightly ported to match the edelbrock LD340 intake manifold. Thats topped by a 750 Holley and fed by the Challenger T/A style fiberglass hood. Hooker Super Comp headers and 3" flowmaster 40s give the car an awesome rumble.
It has a 8.75 with 3.23 gears and a 3000 stall, allowing it to get around 18mpg on the highway. With the exact same setup, the Demon ran 13.51 @ 101 running on 89 octane.

This is my favorite picture of the car. It was taken in October in front of the Chrysler Museum.
