73RoadRunner440's 1969 Chevrolet Sport Van

This is my 1969 Chevy Sport Van 108. It has a 307 small block. Currently I am addressing some rust issues with it, in the rear doors and rocker panels. I'm hoping to paint it orange metal flake, add Hooker side pipes, Cragar S/S wheels all the way around with shackles and air shocks. I eventually want to drop in a 350 small block and a TH350. In the rear it has a table with 2 chairs that fold down into a bed, and the roof pops up about 2 feet and you can hang 2 hamocks from there. there is also a kicthen area and a fridge, and it has a foot print gas pedal. All for 500 bucks! When i bought it, it had been sitting in the weeds for 4 years, causing the rust problem. I'm going to try to remember to bring a camera with me when I go back to the shop, so I should have some new pictures this coming week or so.

An original Hippi foot print gas pedal. Pretty cool huh?

All I gotta know is how fast I'm going, how much gas is left, and if she's runnin' hot or not.

The original 307 small block. She fired right up after just a little gas down the carb. I'm thinking a 350 might be going in here, but what would a 454 be like down in there?

Nice Van, I had a 68 window van 108, I put in a 283 and it was sweet! Big block would be super heavy in the front!!! Think about a 400 small block, awesome power like big block without weight.

5 stars all the way! That is a pretty unique take on these vans that I have never seen before...My '68 was a factory optioned camper but nothing as extreme as a sweet pop-up roof! Very nice!
