Update......

finaly got my new motor in. pulled the tranny and motor together in my dirt driveway during the month of april, (needless to say the dirt became mud)

all went prety well with limited complications. over all a prety smooth swap, started her up and she turned over no problems and was throwing no codes. to it for a drive and was enjoying the sound of the new headers i had just bought, and once the motor boosted up it shot the downpipe off at the Y collector pipe. no biggy, threw it back on after a cool down and has been fine ever since. thanks to sean, ray, skyoly, and of corse, my beautiful girlfreind Sara for being so pateint and leting us boys do our thing.

Car recently developed a knock. At first i thought it was a tap in the top end and check the heads out and found nothing. i took it to a local speed shop hoping the could scan me and maybe find a bad sensor, check my lifters and maybe check my lower end if needed. as luck would have it, i blew a rod. did a little net surfing and found a motor out of a 2004 impala SS that can be bolted right in. at the time i blew the rod i was at about 97,000miles, now im looking at about 50,000 with a one year waranty for about 1100$ guess it could be alot worse. gonna bight the bullit and go for it. i will keep everyone updated on what going on with the car after i get her back togather. 4/09

Man thats goota suck but at least you picked up a good replacement for a good price. Sounds like you got a deal. Like your interior too. Not sure about doing that to mine but it looks good on your ride. Good luck and thanks for the post.
