This is my '66 Dart GT.
I've had it a number of years now. It's a 225 slant six with a 904 torque flight. I've done some things to make it handle better. I rebuilt the front end, added a sway bar, added 340 torsion bars, KYB's and disc brakes from a '73. On the rear end I got all funky and built an independent rear end using parts from a '94 Thunderbird supercoupe. I love autocross. There's so much more I want to do to make it better. I'd like to put stiffer torsion bars in, new adjustable front shocks, 17" wheels and good tires...I've also been planning to turbo the slant, but I don't have the money now. Anyway, enjoy.
The old drums.
Discs from the '73.
Complete front end.
The rear end as I was building it.
Had to get different wheels to clear the brakes. These are Explorer wheels.
Completed rear end.
At the Medford autocross track.
Need stiffer front torsion bars!
Even with the body roll, the rear tires are still perpendicular to the ground. It worked pretty well.
